Lufthansa, Air Berlin Get OK To Sue Over Ryanair Aid

Law360, New York (February 10, 2011, 6:44 PM EST) -- Germany's highest court ruled Thursday that Deutsche Lufthansa AG and Air Berlin PLC can sue over allegedly illegal aid that two German airports granted Ryanair Holdings PLC, even though European Union antitrust regulators have not yet finished investigating the matter.

The German Federal Court of Justice revived two separate cases the German carriers brought against their U.K.-based discount rival under the country's tort and unfair competition laws.
