Ariz. Countersues Obama Over Immigration Law

Law360, New York (February 10, 2011, 7:41 PM EST) -- Arizona launched its own suit Thursday in response to the Obama administration's lawsuit over the state's new immigration law, accusing the federal government of failing to protect the state from a steady influx of illegal immigrants.

Arizona filed a counterclaim in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona in response to the U.S. government's lawsuit over its Senate Bill 1070, which imposes a host of new penalties to discourage illegal immigration.
