GAO Tosses ACS Protest Over $142M DOL Contract

Law360, New York (February 11, 2011, 3:54 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has denied incumbent contractor ACS Federal Solutions LLC's protest over a $142 million contract for medical billing processing services that the U.S. Department of Labor awarded to rival Computer Sciences Corp.

The GAO shot down ACS Federal's argument that the DOL had not meaningfully discussed shortcomings in the company's proposal, finding that the agency provided sufficient direction on how to make improvements, according to a decision reached Jan. 7 but published Thursday.
