Garden State Jumps Into Edison Power Plant CAA Fight

Law360, New York (February 11, 2011, 5:11 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Friday allowed New Jersey to intervene in a Clean Air Act suit brought by New York, Pennsylvania and the U.S. over an Edison Mission Energy-operated power plant in Pennsylvania.

Judge Terrence F. McVerry of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania granted New Jersey's bid to intervene a day after the state moved to join the suit on the grounds that the 1,884-megawatt plant in Homer City, Penn., was polluting its residents' air.
