SRI Sues Symantec Again Over Network Intrusion IP

Law360, New York (February 14, 2011, 12:47 PM EST) -- SRI International Inc. has once again accused Symantec Corp. of infringing its patents for computer network intrusion detection technology.

In a complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, SRI alleges that Symantec has continued to infringe two of its patents despite both a jury and an appeals court finding the patents valid in previous litigation between the two companies.

Both of the patents SRI asserts in the suit, U.S. Patent Numbers 6,711,615 and 6,484,203, have also survived two re-examination proceedings...
