Fed. Circ. Affirms 188% Duties On Crawfish Importer

Law360, New York (February 14, 2011, 6:12 PM EST) -- The Federal Circuit ruled Monday that the U.S. Department of Commerce was justified in levying a 188 percent dumping margin on a crawfish meat importer, rejecting an appeal by the importer's insurer.

In a per curiam decision, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed a February 2010 ruling by the U.S. Court of International Trade that substantial evidence supported the rate that Commerce slapped on Xuzhou Jinjiang Foodstuffs Co. Ltd. for a one-year period from 2005 to 2006.
