Teva Targets 13th Drug Maker In Zoloft Patent Battle

Law360, New York (April 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Israeli generic drug maker Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. has sued yet another pharmaceutical company in its ongoing patent battle over the exclusive rights to sell a generic version of Pfizer Inc.’s blockbuster drug Zoloft.

Canada’s Cobalt Pharmaceuticals has become the 13th target of Teva’s campaign against a group of drug makers it claims are launching their own versions of the anti-depressant in violation of its patent rights.
