Black Asks High Court To Overturn Conviction Again

Law360, New York (February 18, 2011, 1:25 PM EST) -- Former media magnate Conrad Black is once again seeking an intervention from the U.S. Supreme Court, claiming that the Seventh Circuit's decision upholding part of the guilty verdict against him violated the high court's earlier ruling.

In a petition for writ of certiorari filed with the Supreme Court Thursday, Black argued that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit's ruling affirming his conviction on one fraud count and a related obstruction of justice charge misapplied the test for harmless error review.
