Racket String Maker Hit With False Ad Suit

Law360, New York (February 18, 2011, 2:52 PM EST) -- Tennis racket string maker Unique Sports Products Inc. has hit its rival Gamma Sports with a false advertising suit alleging it rigged the results of a survey to ensure that its racket strings were ranked No. 1.

The suit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, claims that several Gamma employees joined the U.S. Racket Stringers Association under false pretenses for the sole purpose of responding to the group's annual survey with positive comments about Gamma's racket strings.
