Deadline Looms For WTO Farm Reforms

Law360, New York (February 18, 2011, 2:52 PM EST) -- With the latest talks proving less than fruitful, delegations negotiating agricultural trade reforms at the World Trade Organization are under the gun to make headway addressing farm subsidies, market access and other key issues.

David Walker, ambassador of New Zealand and chairman of the agricultural negotiations, told the delegations that over ten days of consultation he heard little new, leaving much work to be done as the parties try to pave the way for the Doha Round agricultural reforms.
