GAO Denies Protest Of $33M Navy Roofing Contract

Law360, New York (February 18, 2011, 2:58 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has denied a bid protest over a $33 million contract to repair the roof of a U.S. Navy building, saying the Navy did not act unreasonably when choosing a higher-priced but more detailed work proposal.

The protestor, KBS Inc., had failed to show that the Navy's evaluation process or its ultimate decision to award the contract to Blueridge General Inc. was unreasonable, according to a Feb. 2 GAO decision unsealed Thursday.
