Law360, New York (February 23, 2011, 2:00 PM ET) -- A federal judge in South Carolina on Tuesday cut claims from a putative class action accusing Bayer Corp. of falsely marketing its One-A-Day brand men's vitamins as prostate cancer preventatives.
Judge J. Michelle Childs of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina partially granted Bayer's motion to dismiss the case, nixing claims brought under the consumer protection statutes of 12 different states as well as a claim under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
