CBD Wages War On Climate Change In Calif. Courts

Law360, New York (March 30, 2011, 5:26 PM EDT) -- Some environmental groups devote equal effort to education, lobbying and litigation in attempts to combat climate change, but the Center for Biological Diversity has found success in concentrating its resources largely in litigation, especially in California.

Tucson, Ariz.-based CBD has doggedly pursued companies and government agencies alike over environmental regulations, and the group's Climate Law Institute, which opened in San Francisco in February 2009, has added a global warming focus to its court cases in recent years.
