Cardiff Fined $2.4M Over Illegal Waste Discharge

Law360, New York (February 23, 2011, 7:34 PM EST) -- A federal judge in Maryland on Wednesday ordered Liberian shipping company Cardiff Marine Inc. to pay a $2.4 million criminal fine over the illegal discharge of oily waste, on which a crew member blew the whistle.
