Bayer Sues Hexal, Salutas Over Heartburn Pill Patents

Law360, New York (February 25, 2011, 3:52 PM ET) -- A Bayer AG unit said Friday that it had filed a patent infringement suit in Germany against Hexal AG and Salutas Pharma GmbH over the sale of over-the-counter omeprazole tablets.

Bayer Consumer AG filed its lawsuit in the District Court of Dusseldorf, over the sale of Omep Hexal 20 milligram tablets, which are a generic product of Hexal, according to Bayer.
