Top IP Enforcer Seeks Private Sector, Foreign Backing

Law360, New York (March 1, 2011, 6:42 PM EST) -- The U.S. intellectual property enforcement coordinator told a House panel Tuesday that she was seeking private sector partners to crack down on Internet piracy and hoped to pressure foreign governments to play a role in combating infringement.

Victoria A. Espinel testified before the U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee on intellectual property, competition, and the Internet to brief lawmakers on the actions of the newly formed senior advisory committee she oversees.
