GAO Nixes Northrop Protest Of Canceled $2.6B IT Deal

Law360, New York (March 3, 2011, 4:02 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office said Thursday it had rejected Northrop Grumman Information Technology Inc.'s bid protest over the termination of a $2.6 billion information technology services task order for the Department of Homeland Security's headquarters.

In the publicly released decision, the GAO sided with the General Services Administration, which sought a contractor for  work on behalf of the DHS and then opted to cancel the contract with Northrop and issue a revised solicitation with better information for responding firms.
