Ky. Bill Orders Out-Of-State Contractors To Register

Law360, New York (March 4, 2011, 3:25 PM EST) -- The Kentucky Legislature passed a bill Thursday requiring all out-of-state entities that contract with the state government to first register with the Secretary of State’s Office.

The state House of Representatives passed the bill by a vote of 98-1, following the state Senate's Feb. 8 passage of the bill in a 36-0 vote. The bill was signed by the Senate president and the speaker of the house and sent to Gov. Steve Beshear for his signature.
