Union Trespass Law In The Hands Of Calif. High Court

Law360, New York (March 29, 2011, 1:47 PM ET) -- Attorneys are eagerly awaiting a California high court ruling that will address whether labor-related protests deserve special protections, with employers hoping for a decision that will sound the death knell for a 35-year-old union trespass law.

The Supreme Court of California agreed in October to hear an appeal of a decision that scrapped two state laws that set a high bar for winning court injunctions against peaceful labor protests on the grounds the statutes violated constitutional free speech protections.
