Scientists Clash In House Hearing To Ban GHG Regs

Law360, New York (March 8, 2011, 5:46 PM EST) -- A group of scientists clashed Tuesday before a congressional panel with different viewpoints on the rate of climate change, how much humans contribute to it and whether greenhouse gases cause extreme weather events and lower agricultural productivity.

All of the witnesses who appeared before the U.S. House's subcommitee on energy and power — which held its third hearing on a bill that would prohibit the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from regulating greenhouse gases — appeared to agree that the Earth was warming.
