Sony, Warner, Others Drop Lime Wire Copyright Claims

Law360, New York (March 7, 2011, 10:04 PM EST) -- Music publishers, including Sony Corp. and Warner Music Group Corp., agreed Monday to settle with Lime Wire LLC, which they sued in June following a New York federal judge's ruling that the Internet file-sharing service infringed copyrights.

The music publishers dismissed all claims against Lime Wire, its chairman Mark Gorton and former Chief Operating Officer Greg Bildson, according to a stipulation filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Terms of the deal were undisclosed.
