Senate Committee Weighs Energy Efficiency Changes

Law360, New York (March 10, 2011, 2:27 PM EST) -- A U.S. Senate committee on Thursday mulled bills concerning federal energy efficiency standards, including one that would increase or establish standards for several types of appliances and another that would repeal certain lighting standards.

Members of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources as well as administration, consumer and industry representatives who spoke during the hearing characterized the Implementation of National Consensus Appliance Agreements Act of 2011 as the product of a collaborative effort among stakeholders.
