Sony Lands 337 Probe Of LG TVs, Monitors

Law360, New York (March 9, 2011, 1:42 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Tuesday approved Sony Corp.’s request for a probe into whether LG Electronics Inc.’s digital display imports infringe Sony-held patents, just days after the agency opened a similar probe of Sony devices.

The ITC said it voted to investigate LG’s imported digital televisions and computer monitors for possible infringement of Sony’s patents and violations of Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930.
