Hot Tub Parts Makers Settle Antitrust, Patent Spat

Law360, New York (March 11, 2011, 2:55 PM EST) -- Rival hot tub control systems makers on Wednesday settled claims in a California federal court that one company unfairly used its market dominance and the threat of patent litigation to thwart would-be competitors.

Judge George H. Wu of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California signed off on the stipulated dismissal by Newport Controls LLC and Balboa Instruments Inc. with prejudice.
