CORRECTED: Medline To Pay $91M Over Medicare Kickback Suit

Law360, New York (March 11, 2011, 8:08 PM EST) -- Medline Industries Inc., an Illinois medical supply company, said on Friday it will shell out $91 million in restitution and fees to settle a whistleblower suit accusing the company of paying kickbacks to hospitals and other health care providers that purchased medical equipment with federal dollars.

Medline and the relator reported their settlement to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, ending a case that began in October 2007.
