Pipe Supply Co. Pleads Guilty In ConEd Kickback Case

Law360, New York (March 14, 2011, 7:10 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey pipe supply company and its owner pled guilty Monday to bribing a Con Edison Inc. purchasing manager in exchange for contracts worth $18 million, causing the electric and gas utility to pay higher prices for materials.

Andrew Martingano, president and co-owner of American Pipe Bending & Fabrication Co. Inc., pled guilty to one count of participating in a conspiracy to commit fraud in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
