Senate Likely To OK Bill To Spur Energy Innovation

Law360, New York (April 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A bipartisan bill designed to improve and protect U.S. competitiveness by supporting innovation in science and energy arenas has hit the Senate floor and is expected to pass sometime this week.

The Senate started debating the bipartisan America COMPETES Act of 2007 on Friday. The measure is based in large part on the recently proposed PACE-Energy Act and the National Competitiveness Investment Act, both introduced last year.
