House Panel Demands Docs On SEC Atty's Madoff Ties

Law360, New York (March 16, 2011, 3:56 PM EDT) -- A U.S. House of Representatives oversight committee subpoenaed a slew of documents Wednesday about money former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission general counsel David Becker inherited from funds invested with Ponzi schemer Bernard L. Madoff.

The subpoenas from House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., were issued to Irving Picard, trustee for the bankrupt Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.
