Fugitive Invests In Namibia Amid Extradition Bid

Law360, New York (April 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A multimillionaire fugitive who faces extradition hearings this week in Namibia for alleged backdating and slush fund schemes in the U.S. has promised to spend millions of dollars on projects in the African country.

Extradition hearings are scheduled to begin Wednesday in Namibia for Jacob "Kobi" Alexander, the former chief executive of Comverse Technology Inc. who faces various conspiracy, fraud and money laundering charges.
