Law360, New York (March 18, 2011, 11:39 PM ET) -- Exxon Mobil Corp., Texaco Inc., Chevron USA Inc. and other energy companies agreed Friday to pay $1.75 million to settle claims over cleanup costs for environmental damage from spent catalysts at a Houston Superfund site.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency filed a consent decree detailing the settlement in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on the same day it filed a complaint listing claims under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act.
