US Works With China On WTO Copyright Compliance

Law360, New York (March 21, 2011, 7:30 PM EDT) -- U.S. trade officials announced Monday they were working with China to make sure the country eased restrictions on copyrighted media imported from America after the country missed a Saturday deadline to comply with a World Trade Organization ruling.

In July, the countries agreed to a March 19 deadline for China to implement the WTO dispute resolution panel's recommendations that it eliminate discriminatory requirements facing U.S. importers and distributors of copyrighted products.
