Apple, Amazon Go Head To Head Over 'App Store' Mark

Law360, New York (March 22, 2011, 7:10 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc. sued Amazon.com Inc. on Friday in a California federal court, alleging the online retailer's new mobile application store infringes the computer maker's trademark for “App Store” and constitutes an unfair competitive advantage.

Apple filed its complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, accusing Amazon of Lanham Act violations, trademark infringement and unfair competition.
