South Korea Keeps Chinese Glass Duties Intact

Law360, New York (March 24, 2011, 5:45 PM EDT) -- South Korea's trade watchdog reportedly revealed Thursday that it would keep in place anti-dumping duties on a type of common float glass from China after determining that lifting the duties would harm domestic manufacturers.

Korea's Fair Trade Commission decided to extend punitive duties of 12.04 percent to 36.01 percent on Chinese float glass products, which are used in building construction, Yonhap News reported.

The duties, initially imposed by the agency in October 2007, will be maintained on Chinese imports for the next three years, Yonhap said....
