Barnard Settles Coverage Suit Over Conduit Collapse

Law360, New York (March 24, 2011, 7:56 PM EDT) -- Barnard Construction Co. Inc. on Thursday settled its coverage dispute with its insurers over the collapse of a 150-foot fish conduit the company built for Portland General Electric in an Oregon reservoir as part of a hydroelectric project.

Judge Sam E. Haddon of the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana dismissed the case with prejudice after Barnard and its insurers Lexington Insurance Co. and Princeton Excess & Surplus Insurance Co. informed the court that they had settled the lawsuit.
