China Bans Japanese Imports Amid Radiation Fears

Law360, New York (March 25, 2011, 7:47 PM EDT) -- A Chinese regulator ordered a ban on imports of certain food including dairy products and vegetables from areas near Japan's imperiled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, Chinese state-run media reported Friday.

China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine banned fruit, vegetable, dairy, aquatic animal and other imports from five jurisdictions near the plant as of last Thursday, Chinese state-run Xinhua News Agency reported.
