Spansion Hires Ex-Tessera Exec As General Counsel

Law360, New York (March 25, 2011, 8:12 PM EDT) -- Spansion Inc., a maker of flash memory chips, said Friday that it had hired Scot Griffin, who has previously held legal positions with rival chipmakers Tessera Inc. and Intel Corp., as a senior vice president and general counsel.

Griffin has strong experience in litigating intellectual property issues for chip makers, Spansion said. At Tessera, he was the general counsel and also served as the executive vice president of Tessera's microelectronics division. He previously worked as an in-house lawyer for Intel.
