Maine High Court Allows Wind Projects To Move Forward

Law360, New York (March 28, 2011, 3:28 PM EDT) -- Maine's highest court greenlighted two 51-megawatt wind projects on Thursday despite objections from residents worried about noise and a potential impact on their property values.

The Maine Supreme Judicial Court said in a pair of decisions that the state Board of Environmental Protection did not err when it issued a permit to Evergreen Wind Power II LLC for a $125 million wind energy facility in Oakfield or when it issued a permit to Record Hill Wind LLC for a $120 million wind energy facility in Roxbury....
