BAE Wins Body Armor Contract Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (March 28, 2011, 7:29 PM EDT) -- BAE Systems won summary judgment Monday in a suit in Arizona in which BAE and rival ArmorWorks Enterprises LLC accused each other of anti-competitive practices over a supply contract for material used to make body armor for the military.

Judge James A. Teilborg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona simultaneously denied ArmorWorks' cross-motion for summary judgment, saying ArmorWorks “failed to establish the existence of elements essential to its case, on which it will bear the burden at trial.”
