Sens. Press ITC To Place Duties On Chinese Aluminum

Law360, New York (March 29, 2011, 6:03 PM EDT) -- Sens. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., and Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, among others, urged the U.S. International Trade Commission on Tuesday to implement anti-dumping and countervailing duty orders on importers of aluminum extrusions from China.

McCaskill told the ITC the duties are all about jobs, citing thousands of positions that disappeared from the domestic industry over the past two years due to alleged unfair competition from China.
