Law360, New York (March 29, 2011, 7:49 PM ET) -- Lupin Ltd. on Monday resolved separate patent infringement suits brought by Abbott Laboratories and Elan Pharma International Ltd. in New Jersey over its efforts to market a generic version of cholesterol drug TriCor.
Judge Garrett E. Brown Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey signed off on two nearly identical joint stipulations of dismissal in the cases, clearing the way for the drug companies to drop their claims and counterclaims without prejudice and without admitting any liability.
