Office Depot Accuses LCD Makers Of Price-Fixing Plot

Law360, New York (March 31, 2011, 10:39 PM EDT) -- Office Depot Inc. sued a group of liquid crystal display producers, including LG Display Co. Ltd. and Sharp Corp., in Florida on Thursday for allegedly running an international price-fixing scheme that inflated prices of thin film transistor LCD panels.

The TFT-LCD panel makers from Japan, South Korea and Taiwan named in the suit engaged in a scheme from January 1996 to December 2006 to keep prices high, according to a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
