4th Circ. Allows Freightliner Hostile Workplace Claim

Law360, New York (April 1, 2011, 10:47 PM EDT) -- The Fourth Circuit on Friday ruled that a female employee of Freightliner LLC suing the truck maker in North Carolina for sex discrimination can pursue her hostile work environment claim.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit overturned a district court ruling that knocked down Kimberly Hoyle's hostile work environment claim, while affirming its decision to grant Freightliner summary judgment on other sex discrimination claims.
