Ex-3M Engineer Gets 4 Years For Fraud

Law360, New York (April 4, 2011, 6:16 PM EDT) -- A South Dakota federal judge sentenced a former 3M Co. employee to four years in prison and ordered him to pay back $5 million he bilked from the company by setting up phony businesses and billing it for bogus parts.

Judge Roberto A. Lange of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota on Friday doled out a sentence of 51 months in prison plus three years of supervised release for former 3M engineer David Beulke.
