Judge Bars Foreign Plaintiffs From Toyota MDL

Law360, New York (April 4, 2011, 11:16 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in California reportedly ruled that foreign plaintiffs could not join a multidistrict litigation accusing Toyota Motor Corp. of concealing sudden acceleration defects that slashed the value of vehicles.

Judge James Selna in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California said that 41 foreign plaintiffs did not have standing to sue the automaker in federal court, according to a report by Bloomberg.
