Claims Trimmed In Radiology Co. Qui Tam Suit

Law360, New York (April 05, 2011, 5:01 PM ET) -- A federal judge in Washington state on Monday trimmed claims in a qui tam action by former Center for Diagnostic Imaging Inc. employees alleging the radiology company paid physician groups for Medicare and Medicaid referrals, calling some allegations insufficient.

Judge Robert Lasnik of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington ruled that while some claims against CDI withstood challenges, four claims in the plaintiffs’ third amended complaint failed to allege violations of the False Claims Act and other statutes.
