Israel Provoking Global Drug Patent Dispute, E.U. Warns

Law360, New York (October 14, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A delegation from the European Union has told Israel that its drug patent policy is provoking “a dispute not between Israel and the U.S., but with the Western world.”

A 20-member forum of European economic attaches in Israel met at the European Union offices in Israel to discuss Israel's proposals for protecting pharmaceutical data exclusivity, according to local media reports.
