Commerce Targets Tissue Paper Co. Over Duty Evasion

Law360, New York (April 6, 2011, 4:07 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce said Wednesday that Max Fortune (Vietnam) Paper Products Co. Ltd. was circumventing an anti-dumping duty order on tissue paper from China and could face a 112.6 percent cash deposit rate on future shipments.

A preliminary determination published in the Federal Register said that tissue paper produced or exported by Max Fortune from Vietnam to the U.S. was made from jumbo rolls and/or cut sheets produced in China, circumventing an anti-dumping duty order.
