Air Suit Against EPA Stayed For Settlement Talks

Law360, New York (April 8, 2011, 4:00 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Thursday agreed to put a three-month hold on a suit by a pair of environmental groups seeking to compel U.S. Environmental Protection Agency action on dozens of states’ plans for controlling air pollution.

Judge William Alsup of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted a joint motion to stay the case for 90 days, allowing WildEarth Guardians and the Sierra Club to amend their complaint and continue settlement negotiations with the EPA.
