Tenn. Court Asked To Move Steel Price-Fixing Action

Law360, New York (April 7, 2011, 8:42 PM EDT) -- An indirect steel purchaser asked a Tennessee federal court Thursday to remand a class action accusing U.S. Steel Corp. and other producers of fixing steel prices to state court where the suit was originally filed.

Beville H. Reagan asked the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee to remove his class action to a state trial court, challenging the producers' argument that he was seeking more than $5 million in damages for the class, which gave the federal court jurisdiction.
