Judge Says No To Generic Amrix

Law360, New York (April 8, 2011, 8:04 PM EDT) -- A Delaware federal judge on Friday blocked drugmakers from releasing generic versions of Cephalon Inc.'s muscle relaxant Amrix while litigation over the drug proceeds.

Judge Sue L. Robinson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware said generic-drug makers — including Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. — would have to wait until she issues an opinion in the case.

With the 30-month automatic Hatch-Waxman Act stay about to expire, generic-drug makers had said they would market Amrix before April 17 whether...
